Why become a Member?
1. Usage of the designation of the certification mark RWP (Registered Wellness Practitioner) is only applicable to professional IRWP members.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP
Successfully writing the IRWP National Exam, holding professional liability insurance and having current CPR/first aid qualifications are all mandatory requirements for professional members of the IRWP. Continuing education units (CEUs) are required to maintain professional Membership Status.
Professional Member
Professional members consist of all individual members of the International Register of Wellness Practitioners who have met the educational requirements. They are practicing Wellness Practitioners who carry professional liability insurance, First Aid/CPR and must follow the IRWP Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. They are entitled to use the designation RWP (Registered Wellness Practitioner).
Non-Practicing Professional Member
Non-practicing Professional members in the International Register of Wellness Practitioners shall consist of all members of the International Register of Wellness Practitioners who are Wellness Practitioners who have met the educational requirements, but are not carrying liability insurance due to personal reasons (i.e. medical, emotional, financial) and who follow the IRWP Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. They are entitled to use the designation RWP (Registered Wellness Practitioner). They do not receive a seal for their certificate until active status is resumed.
Professional Instructor Membership
Professional Instructor members in the International Register of Wellness Practitioners shall consist of all members of the International Register of Wellness Practitioners who have obtained the instructor requirements of the IRWP, are currently teaching a Wellness program which meets the IRWP core curriculum, has been a IRWP member for the previous two years before applying for this membership category. They must hold personal/property liability insurance for themselves and their students. They must maintain their CPR certification and must follow the IRWP Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. They are entitled to use the designation RWP (Registered Wellness Practitioner).
Student Member
Student members of the International Register of Wellness Practitioners shall consist of any students taking a Wellness course from a IRWP approved instructor.
Associate member
Associate members of the International Register of Wellness Practitioners shall be open to the general public, or any individual with a genuine interest in Wellness.
